Less Than Perfect

1.
No one can know herself fully.
Others know things about you that you cannot know yourself.

2.
Self-delusion is helpful, in small measure.
Self-doubt is useful, in small measure.
Inconsistency is desirable, in small measure.
Therefore, accept thoughts, feelings and actions that are imperfect,
in small measure.

2.
Don't pursue the perfect.
Cultivate the human instead.

3.
You cannot know everything that is knowable.
Accept that your knowledge is incomplete.

4.
You cannot see everything because you cannot see everywhere.
Accept that your perceptions are partial.

5.
In a desert, a tree offers shade.
In a forest, an opening offers sunshine.

6.
In a drought we say, Rain, rain.
In a storm we say, Sun, sun.

7.
Tears -- water in which to drown or rain to quench the spirit?

8.
Is water the same once it has fallen?
Are rains and rivers the same?

9.
The door is open.
Has someone gone or is someone coming in?

10.
We cannot know about life before this life.
We cannot know about life beyond this life.
Therefore, cultivate the best in this life.
