Beauty and the Heart

1.
Beauty is revealed when we learn to see with our hearts.
The more educated our hearts the greater beauty we can see.
Therefore, beauty is revealed with age.

2.
We see beauty with our hearts.
We create beauty with our actions.
We know beauty with our minds.

3.
Beauty and wisdom cannot be separated.
Beauty is the twin of joy.
Joy is the twin of beauty.

4.
From a distance, everything seems beautiful.
To see beauty in the nearby is divine.

5.
Look up.
There is beauty to be seen in the sky.
Look down.
There is beauty in the earth.
Look within.
There is beauty in the heart.
Look across from you.
There is beauty in your neighbor's eyes.

6.
Some things are so beautiful that to hold them is to bring the sun
to the center of the heart.
Other things are so beautiful that to hold them is to die.

7.
Open your ears, there is beauty to be heard.
Open your eyes, there is beauty to be seen.
Open your heart, there is beauty to be felt.
Walk properly upon the earth.
Then you will know what beauty is.

8.
To know beauty is to know joy.
To know joy is to know life.
To know life is to know our connections -- to others, to the earth,
to the stars above.
